I'm Laura, Owner and Artistic Director of Momentum Performing Arts Academy.

 

Hello, I'm Laura, and my journey with dance began in Victoria, Australia. From a young age, I immersed myself in Ballet and Irish Dancing, competing nationally and performing across Melbourne. When my family relocated to Perth, my dance exploration expanded to include RAD Ballet, ISTD Jazz, Modern, and Tap, alongside continued Irish Dancing competitions.

In 2014, I transitioned from dancer to educator, igniting my passion for teaching. Four years later, I established Momentum Performing Arts Academy, driven by the vision of providing children with accessible and enriching dance experiences that nurture their confidence.

​

Throughout my career, I've pursued excellence, achieving Advanced levels in RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern. Professional development has been key, with specialized training from ISTD to enhance my teaching skills. Witnessing the growth and success of my students, both on and off the stage, has been incredibly rewarding.

I have obtained Registered Teaching Status (RTS) with International Dance Technique, AcroLink, and most recognisably Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ensuring that my students receive the highest quality instruction.
