Ballet

Ballet classes are the perfect starting point for any aspiring dancer. Our classes provide important foundations, teaching good posture, correct technique, and setting a strong foundation for all styles of dance. We proudly offer Royal Academy of Dance and Cecchetti syllabi, ensuring that our students receive the highest quality training and have the opportunity to gain recognized qualifications. Our classes foster a creative and inspiring atmosphere, designed to help each student reach their fullest potential. Our instructors are dedicated to helping our students reach their goals and develop a lifelong love of dance.

Jazz

Contemporary

Our Jazz class provides an International Dance Technique (IDT) syllabus and a strong foundation in the style that is highly choreographed. It is a combination of lyrical and funk with the technical foundations of ballet. This is a fast-paced and upbeat class that will have you grooving to the rhythm in no time.

Our Contemporary class is perfect for dancers looking to explore their artistry and creativity! This class incorporates modern progression of ballet, allowing dancers to move in a free-flowing style while still exploring their technique. Our emphasis is on expression and feeling, so dancers can interpret the music in their own unique way. With the help of our experienced instructors, students can learn to push their boundaries and develop their own individual style. This class is perfect for those who want to express themselves through movement.

Competition Programs & Exam Opportunities

Our Competition Program offers a unique opportunity for aspiring dancers to take their training to the next level. We provide free technique classes to participants, as well as the chance to compete and perform in various events. Through our program, dancers can extend their learning and actively pursue their passion for dance.

Examinations are offered throughout the year in various forms of dance. Some examinations may require students to take more than one class per week. Contact us if you are interested in exams!

Leaps and Turns

Our Competition Choreography Class is the perfect way to perfect and revise competition dances. This one-hour class is designed to help develop team work and enhance your dance technique. We will work together to create stunning and unique routines that are sure to wow the competition. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned competitor, this class is perfect for all levels.

Our Technique Class is designed to help dancers improve their technical abilities in a variety of dance styles. Our experienced instructors will teach correct posture, body alignment, and coordination as well as the correct use of arms and feet. Classes will also include stretching, strengthening, and conditioning exercises to help dancers develop a strong and healthy technique. Our classes are suitable for all levels, from the absolute beginner to the more experienced dancer. Join us and take your technique to the next level

Leaps and Turns is an extension class designed to help dancers increase their range of motion, strengthen their core and leg muscles, and improve their coordination. Through a series of jumps, turns, and leaps, dancers will be able to hone their technique while challenging their balance and control. This class is perfect for dancers of all levels looking to take their skills to the next level.

Teacher Training Programs

Momentum Performing Arts Academy provides a wide range of services for those who are passionate about dance. Our nationally recognised qualifications and teacher training programs offer the opportunity for dancers to take their skills to the next level. Teacher Assistant

Our Teacher Assistant Program offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of teaching dance. With opportunities in ballet, jazz, acrobatics, and technique classes to give your child a multifaceted approach to learning. Students participate in their weekly classes to receive the fundamentals of many styles and go on to receive extension and theory in a specialized program. Students are also invited to assist teachers throughout the week in various classes to begin building their own teaching capabilities and style. Our experienced instructors ensure that each lesson is engaging and enjoyable, helping your child to discover their passion for dance.
